94 year old smiling faced man has gone.
Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 12:53AM The ice cold wind was blowing when we buried my grandfather. There was a nice pine coffin sitting in the dirt. That was fresh from where my mother was buried nine months before. I listen to the rabbi speak. I heard my uncle speak tears just started rolling down. I was waiting to be taking in with over walming feelings of loose.
My uncle said it was the end of an era. What my uncle ment was that there will be less family gatherings. My Grandfather and my mom held the whole show together when I was a child we would have tons of people over. By life was simple back then. Now when someone dies I find out 3 months later. So the story goes.
The rabbi had asked does anyone else have anything to say just then someone said
"I do."
I lost it I fell into my wifes arms in a fit of emotional sadness. This was a nightmare. There was no more real place to call home. Just memories that will stay fresh in my head. and the terrible silence that I feel.
